How do i know when to join the military?

i am having trouble knowing when to join. im almost 18 but dont no to JOIN RITE AFTER or wait, but wut would i be waiting for. should i just join asap?

First step is to be mentally and physically prepared

find out which branch you wanna join and what the PFT is and wheter or not you can pass it right now also you might wanna think about what your gonna do when you get vacation(or what ever they call it when they let you go home for a while) and your gonna wanna think about family
