...should be forward facing? How do I know when my daughter is too big to be rear facing in the car seat and should be forward facing? Yes, I do already know that a child must be rear facing as long as possible.
 
Ok the requirements are that a baby needs to be rear facing till 12 mos AND 20lbs -after that you can switch to forward facing.

If your baby gets too big for her infant carseat-BEFORE that mark, you'll need to get a convertible carseat-and still put her rear facing.
