A Ariana New member Sep 20, 2009 #2 Ok the requirements are that a baby needs to be rear facing till 12 mos AND 20lbs -after that you can switch to forward facing. If your baby gets too big for her infant carseat-BEFORE that mark, you'll need to get a convertible carseat-and still put her rear facing.
