How do I know if I am overfeeding my fish?

I think I'll include a picture of my fish in about a day or so, if you're interested.
I am just a tad bit worried that my fish are being overfed. I feed them twice a day. The first time is usually 10 o'clock, and the second time at 5 (when there's school, though, I usually feed them at about 6:30 in the morning).

One of my fish appears to be a bit...fat. People I know have even commented on it, saying that they've never seen a goldfish that big. It has no problems swimming, and has never flipped over or anything of the sorts.

I don't know...I'm just worried. Should I cut it down to only one day? Thing is, I have three fish; the orange one is the big one, the other fantail is decently sized, and the third one is quite skinny. I'm just afraid of that one dying.

Any suggestions?

The most common cause of fish deaths for new aquarists is overfeeding. You should feed the fish only what they can consume in about 5 minutes. It's actually better to underfeed than it is to overfeed. If you skip a meal, that's fine, don't try to make up for it the next meal. Just watch them the next time you feed them and see if they can eat it all in 5 minutes.

Fish can be over fed, best to feed them a little once each day. If they start looking thin, then increase the amount a little.
