WOW, I got windows 7 and internet isn't working, it isn't firmware or anything, it's my computer being stupid. Um...Put xp pro install disc in drive...nothing happened. PUH-LEASE Help. Thank You.
Did you try booting from the xp disc?
It sounds similar to a problem I had when I installed Vista, then tried to go back to xp.
The xp disc wouldn`t boot, I had to format the drive with some other software, I think I used acronis drive cleanser boot disc.
After that, I was able to boot the xp disc, quick format and reinstall.
Put the xp cd in cd. Reboot the system set your BIOS to bootup using cd/dvd drive first and it should boot off your cd and after that just install it, be sure to delete the old OS which is win7
