How do I install the rollers or spools for a sport bike stand?

Help!
I bought (online) a new sport motorcycle stand about a year ago and the seller gave me a pair of aluminum spools to attach to my bike and then he disappeared. How on earth do you install them on the bike? Do I have to drill out holes to bolt the spools on? Or a bracket of some sort? Welding?
I don’t want to modify my bike to much because it’s a 1990 Kawasaki ZX-6D1 in near show room condition, nice original paint and all, and it would be a shame.
Can anybody tell me how it is supposed to be done or installed?
Any other ideas?

unless you weld on spots to put them your old bike doesn't have the spots for spools you need a lift that has pads that will grab the rear swing arm
