How do I install my bicycle brake cables?

I've just had a new racing/road bike delivered but I can't figure out how the brake cables fix to the the brakes handles. I have looked on the internet and can't find anything similar. I can supply some pics if it will help. Please help me as I'm about ready to throw the bike out.
It is brand new, bought on e-bay with no instructions.

Go to this site it shows videos on about everything.

On a road bike and most bikes it should have the cables already attached to the levers.

Notice how the cable is inserted through the front of the brake lever. To access the spot, you need to pull the brake lever. It's important that the cable housing is lined up correctly with the back of the lever body. If it's off just a bit, you'll have difficulty maneuvering the cable through it. Go easy; if you try to force it, you can mess up the ends of the cable.
