How do I install an automatic turn signal canceller in my motorcycle?

I have a 1997 Yamaha yzf 600r, street bike, and would like an automatic canceller but I'm not sure if there is one for my bike and if I can install it myself.
 
I've had several bikes with automatic cancellers, and until I bought my Nomad, I hated them. they always shut the signals off too early and I was glad whenever they quit working. On the Nomad, they finally got it right. Unless you can find a universal setup, you'd have to rob one off a salvage bike, probably...sound like a heckuva project...good one for tinkering in the garage in the winter. k ;o)
