If it is a .ttf file, like most fonts are (probably all, actually)- then you just need to copy it into your fonts folder- which is inside of your windows folder, on the main hard drive.
you have to tell the computer to install it to your fonts folder. download the font and run the font installer from the system menus and chose the font file saved on the 'puter
