How do I go about planning a budget, with no history?

If I have never paid a mortgage, complete monthly grocery bill, etc. How do I go about estimating amounts for a budget if I plan on living on my own soon?
 
Ask an idea to others that was near in your place. and ask how much is there budget for a month.
 
Research. Check ads for apts. see what rents are in your area.
Search websites for the local utility companies and look at what they charge.
Keep track of your current spending
Start watching sales at supermarkets and make up a mock shopping list
