You need the wireless adapter on your console and the network password because it's probably protected.

Does the hotel have wireless? If so, you would need to have a laptop with an ethernet cable to the xbox and open the connection so that the xbox can use the wireless internet from the laptop. Pretty simple and the connection should be just as strong as it is on the laptop.
