Recently i had to reformat my laptop(i recently got from my brother after he bought a new one) and since then i have been unable to play avi files in windows player (only vlc) and more importantly i cant edit them in windows movie maker : the video files atre transported to the audio section not the video section of the timeline do i need a new codec or something?
How do i get Windows media player and movie maker to play avi files?
