How do I get videos off a Panasonic video camera?

You need a firewire Port (IEEE1394) in your computer. If you do not have that, they sell firewire cards for Laptop and tower staring at $25 Then you need a 4 pin to 6 pin firewire cable, they cost from about $7.95 and up. Higher costs here do no better than lower cost, so go with the lowest price on the cord.

DO NOT get a cable that goes from the firewire port on the camcorder to a USB port on your computer, they do exist and are a complete waste of money.
