I bought a factory unit for a 2003 Yukon. My Yukon is 2004 and my factory unit is broken. When I first installed it, it played the CD then it locked up.
OMG... you bought another factory stereo! You are going to have to take it to a dealership to get it unlocked... Call around to see what the different GMC dealers in your area charge. The Theft-lock system on these make it so that you have to physically have to take it to a dealer and they hook it to some machine and get the unlock code.
first of all. if your factory one broke, why did you go for another factory cd player?
try an aftermarket cd player and see if that works. always worked for me.
