How do I get to LGA airport in N.Y by using the subway system, from Madison Square...

...Garden? I have a flight at 7 and can leave by 4.30 to catch my flight. I want to avoid taking taxis or buses because I don't want to hit traffic and miss my flight.

No subway line goes to LGA, irritatingly enough. Instead, you have to take a subway/bus combination.

From MSG, I would take the E train uptown towards Queens, getting off at Roosevelt Ave - Jackson Heights, and then transfer to the Q33 which will take you straight to LGA.

Others may say that you should take the 1 train uptown to 110th St and take the M60 to LGA, but in my experience that way is much longer.

Take the N train at the 34th street station to Hoyt Avenue. When you come down the stairs take the M60 bus heading towards Laguardia Airport. The bus ride is really quick about a 10 15 minute ride even with traffic.
