Hi. A friend of the family gave me some clothes, but they smell REALLY bad like wood smoke. I have washed them in hot water, cold water, I have used Lysol on them (lol), and I CANNOT get rid of the smell! Any idea how I can do this? I know that sometimes people use baking soda for smells, if that would work, how would I do it? Thank you!
Rusty- LOL, my dad and brother are fire fighters and I never thought to ask them! Thanks :-).

Yes, baking soda will help... try soaking them in a solution of baking soda and water for abut 6 hours... fill your tub 1/2 way and pour the entire contents of a small box of baking soda... stir it up a bit and wait about 6 hours or longer !
