How do i get the most performance out of my Toyota MR2 Spyder's Four-Cylinder...

...engine (stock)? just looking to improve the HP on the stock engine. Also does the speedometer denote the speed capabilities of the car or is it just a standard measured scale placed on most cars?
 
nearly every speedo, in every car, says the car can go to a ludicrous speed. the simplest way to improve the power of a simple car is to add a high induction system, or a performance, or an intercooler. then you can get to higher mods like cam shaft, or even if you are willing to go the distance, a turbo or a supercharger. although with a simple engine like the MR2 i would recommend some of the more simple mods i suggested. have fun!

You can't as it is engineered to almost perfection and Toyotas are not made to upgrade performance.
 
the spyder have a 1zzfe engine which is the detuned version of 2zzfe as fitted to the zze123 6speed corolla this engine and gear box is also fitted into lotus and is available in a supercharged version the kit is available in usa to suit the mrs / spyder also the 2zzfe is fitted to the celica the corolla has run at nurburg ring in the 24 hour race for the last 2 years goes to prove very reliable and good performance so bon't hold back
