My husband reheated some salmon in the microwave and now every time you use it, it fills the room with a strong fishy smell. Does anyone have any suggestions aside of buying a new one?
in my house, i put a bowl of water with 1/4 c. baking soda and half a lemon squeezed into it in the microwave and nuke for 2-3 min. if you wipe down after that everything just wipes off effortlessly, too!!
Try heating some white vinegar (about a cup) in a microwavable dish for 4-5 minutes. It will not smell good either, but hopefully, when the vinegar smell is gone, the fishy smell will be too. Be sure to wipe down the inside of the microwave well after heating the vinegar. Hope this works!
I was the microwave with strong baking soda and water first. Then put a glass half full of water in and set it for 4 minutes and let it cook. Wipe the inside down and try it out. This has worked for my family.
