We are currently DirecTV customers and pretty happy with our service, BUT.... we're also in Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University so we must make some changes to our budget!
Satellite TV is something that I could honestly live without, but my husband....says that's not an option, lol.
We currently have their 'Choice' package, with HD service ($10/month) and a DVR ($7/month).
I called to talk to them and they offered me free HD service and a $10 credit per month for a year. I know this is really good compared to what we are paying now, but I don't think it is the best that I can do.
I can switch to Dish Network and get almost the same package for 29.99/month for a year (44.99 regular price) but I really don't want to switch if I don't have to.
Hopefully some of you have some experience in lowering the cost of watching TV!
We live in a pretty rural area of the Southeast so I'm not sure that there are very many options, but I'm going to be hopeful
