how do i get songs from windows media player on to my ipod?

another person asked and nobody gave them a good answer either. If it is impossible i want to know I have ben trying so hard i've spent hours trying to get it. I wish i just had the mp3 that my brother has it is so much simpler why did they have to make the ipod so hard to work was that really necessary. i mean come on. it is pissing me off!!!
 
iTunes is very easy to work, but you need to import only compatable files types such as .aac or mp3 formats. That may be why it seems so hard.
itunes does not work with windows media player file formats, I believe they start with .wmp or wma..(not sure what the last letter is in their file extension name.) the file type is not compatable with itunes. Anyway, if you can convert them to mp3 inside windows media player first, then you can import them into itunes. Then it should work.
