How do I get songs from my flash drive to media player on my laptop?

I want to transfer songs from my desktop to my laptop. I put the songs onto my flash drive. How do I put these songs onto my laptop in Media Player.
 
when you plug the flash drive to your laptop, your laptop will detect the flash drive and open a window/folder, so from there you can either drag and drop or copy and paste all files from your flash drive to your laptop,
 
Open your media player and under "Files" click on "Import", select the Songs on your flash drive and you are done. Make sure you actually copied the songs on your flash drive, not the Short cuts.
