How do I get rid of the red flashing light while making calls on BlackBerry Bold 9000?

I have a Bold and I have no idea what you're talking about. And if your phone does this, why do you care? You can't see your own ear while talking anyway unless someone has told you it looks like a Christmas tree which is weird. The Bold is the best phone I have ever had. No offense but this question is very strange.
 
The other red light alerts i'd like to keep but my ear looks like a Christmas tree while i'm talking on the phone. Thanks
