How do I get rid of my awful headaches?

sounds like you may be getting either stress headaches or headaches caused by teeth grinding which you are doing while you sleep. To see if its caused by teeth grinding, go to Walmart and you can purchase a mouth guard there for about $40. It will form to your mouth and prevent you from any grinding. Hope this helps.

I didn't know i was a teeth grinder until i went to a sleep clinic and found out that's why im always getting my headaches.

I have been getting a lot of really awful headaches for about the past six months. I went to a doctor about it a month and a half ago and she said that I should try eating better and exercising more, and drinking plenty of water. I am a vegetarian so I don't eat any meat (no fish, poultry, cow, pig, etc. But I will eat eggs and dairy.) and I agreed with my doctor -- it probably was just my diet. I have begun eating better, adding things like soy and more iron into my diet and each day I drink 2-2.5 of those Gatorade drinks with electrolytes plus another bottle of regular water. I run a mile each morning now, and go on walks in the afternoon. I have also tried getting more sleep by going to bed earlier and allowing myself to sleep in a bit more. And with the off-chance that it might be stress-related, I have cut back my work hours slightly, and added more time into my schedule just to relax ad enjoy myself.
Nothing has helped. I still get daily headaches, and it is beginning to affect my mood. I have begun being more irritable around my friends, snapping at them and yelling for the slightest things, and I have begun to withdraw from my previous happy, outgoing self. I am sensitive to light and sound now, and doing things such as riding in the car or going on roller coasters seem to make my headaches worse, and both of these are things that I love to do. I also love reading and that seems to make them worse as well. I don't watch much television at all, but when I do the lights from the T.V. make my head hurt more.
I have already gone to a doctor once about this, and that was a month and a half ago. She said that I should begin seeing results in about two weeks. I really cannot afford to see her again, especially since I cut back my working hours in order to relax. Is there anything I can do to make my headaches go away without spending a lot of money? I have tried Advil, Tylenol, and Excedrin, and nothing has helped.
My hair isn't very long (only down to the top of my bra) and it is really thin, too. I don't think it's my hair. And I have an eye appointment this Friday, so I'll mention it then. But thanks for the suggestion! :D
