How do i get my visor garage door opener on my 2000 Dodge Intrepid to work?

I just bought a 2000 Dodge Intrepid ES, and i would like to know how to get the built-in garage door opener to work. the garage door opener is in the top middle by the temp. read out. If you can help me, that would be great!!.. Thanks.
