How do I get my Verizon Blackberry Bold 9650 to get better service? Reception.?

Hi. I have a Blackberry Bold on the Verizon Network and I don't get very good reception. I use it as a house phone. I just got it yesterday. I get service in some areas of my house. I used to have a Motorola Droid. Can anybody help me? PLEASE! :)
