We got princess (our pitbull) when she was 3 months old. At the time she was paper trained. No one was home with her so she started doing her business other places then the paper; I knew this was a cry for attention so I started staying home with her more but now she won't stop!!! It's getting frustrating because I'm afraid she might be getting too old to break her of this habit... Please help any advice would be greatly appreciated

well take her out every two or so hours and when or if she goes say good girl and give her a treat do that for two or one month and she sould be good hope i helped and i know this works because i know a dog tha was four years old and wasint trained and he did it

Asking a dog to poop in the den (house) is a mistake. Dogs do not want to soil in their den but given no alternative will do so. They will poop as far away from their food and bed as they can get. In nature, predators find prey by smelling the poop so many dogs will eat their own feces in order to keep prey away. Domesticated dogs still have the same instincual reasoning and will poop far away from their bed & food.

Teach your dog to eliminate outside where it will be all to happy to comply.

back to potty training 101. Walk her on a leash instead of allowing her to go out to the yard. First thing in the morning, about 30 minutes after she eats, after she has a nap and before bed. Walk her until she goes and when she does, praise her. Get a crate and crate her when you aren't home. When you are home, confine her to the room you are in so you can watch her for signs that she has to go.

I had a time with my pitt. The best thing to do is get a crate and train him. We got our pit when he was 7 weeks old and finally house trained him when he was about 11 months. The only thing that worked was the crate. When we finally broke down and got one it took about a week or 2 when he finally got it. Trust me it is a live saver. Floor saver too.\

Take her outside to the same place every 2-3 hours or after she eats or first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Be consistant. She will learn with some time.

paper training is not good try getting her on a scedule for going out like after meals naps etc like every 2 hours and crate training will help ps pit bulls can be stubborn
