How do I get my car stereo to turn back on?

I have a 2001 Honda Accord Ex and the battery just died this weekend. After I put in the new battery the radio would not turn on. It keeps asking for a code. It is a factory stereo and I really do not want to go to the dealership and pay $100 for them to punch in some numbers. What do I need to do to get it to work?

From me personally working at a car dealership ( Ford) , I know the only way to get it is to go to the dealership (whatever brand car you bought) . Several times we had to take a Honda back to Honda , Mercedes back to Mercedes , because thats the only way . The VIN# wont work . I think it's usually about 30-40 $ if I remember right. Good Luck

Some owners manuals have the code. You can also take the VIN number to the dealership and they may give you the code for free.
