how long have you tried each of these thing for ?
it took about 2-3 weeks for my son to get attached to a teddy we gave him .. he was i think around 3-4 months old
now we give him the teddy and he knows hes going to bed very soon , he could be wide awake , see the teddy comming and start closing his eyes .
I had to teach my son to sleep on his own , sounds a bit mean but it was worth it , for both of us . no more grumpy baby.
i would rock him for a few mins till he was almost dosing of .. put him in the cot whilst still awake . of course 90% of the time he would start screaming , i would leave the room for what seemed like hours but was only one min max , pick him up and give him another quick rock and back down again , next time i would just re tuck him in
if he wasnt asleep in 30 mins i would get him out of the cot and put him on the living room for for 10 mins .. then back to the cot again
i only ever had to bring him in the living room for that break twice .
now i still give him a quick rocking then i put him in the cot , most of the time he doesnt make a fuss , but the odd time he will start screaming and as soon as i walk out the door the screaming stops and he is asleep in 10 seconds .
She would rather be with you , but we all know she needs sleep more
