How do I get gloss paint off my car?

I have a black car and it has small specks of white gloss paint that has spattered on to it while it was parked, I don't know where from. Any ideas on the best way to remove it without damaging the paintwork.

petrol on a rag will do it...once its all off wax the car...sorted.

Try a little rubbing compound on a damp cloth.Is the paint latex or oil based? Latex comes off with water and patience.
