How do I get free music on my Verizon Wireless phone?

I am getting a new phone and I want to be able to have free music on it. I am not looking for ringtones, I am looking for full SONGS!!! Please explain how to do it fully or else I will get stuck and be sad :( Thx!
 
With the phone open and from the main screen, press OK to choose MENU.

Select Media Center then press OK.

Select Music & Tones then press OK.

Select Sync Music then press OK.
