I'm 20yrs old and I'm trying to go to school to be a CNA. I would like to get a grant or even a scholarship but am getting very discouraged. A friend told me about FAFSA but when I reasearch it, I read about how hardly anyone gets a grant.
Nobody in my family graduated HS or went to college, so this is really important to me. No rude comments or I WILL report you.

Thank you

I don't know where you read that "hardly anyone gets a grant" because that's simply not true. So long as you qualify, you will get financial help. In order to qualify as a dependent (which you'll be unless you're married, have kids, or have been in the army) your family (yes, as in your parents too) have to be under a certain income bracket. So long as you're not well-off and have actual financial need (no, your parents making $70k/year but drowning in debt does not count as being in need) you will get help. Out of both years I've applied I've received aid because I qualify for it.

And even if you don't qualify for grants, you can still get loan offers with interest rates that are much better than what a bank will give you.
