how do i get candle wax out of my hair?

ive recently been to bali, and ive gotten hair extensions over their done with candle wax. knowing that it sounded better then glue i thought that it would be okay. ive had to put the iron on my hair to get out the extensions but theres still lots of wax in my hair. and its Gross.
can anyone help?
