how do i get a connection with the internet with my ps2?

like im havin trouble with my ps2. ive hooked it to the internet. and i dnt have an account on my memory card. so i go to where it says add setting it says no hardware is connected. make sure hardware is connected. any help?

i dont know if you can but if you can you would need a ether net cable and plug it in the back of both the modem and the ps2 a modem is the thing conected to your computer hope this helps !
