How do i get a BLUEANT Z9 WB "bluetooth" to work with my Motorola i335?

I have boost mobile as my service provider, i tried the "link devices option" on the phone and it scans for about 5-10 sec and then says "no devices found". how do i get it to say "device found" or something like that?
 
BlueAnt devices in my experience do not pair well with Motorola and really aren't a good BT company.
Plantronics is the best IMHO after using Moto, Blue Ant's and quite a few Plantronics.

I had the z9i and to pair that you just held the big silver button that had the ant on it until it was flashing blue and red.
then you have the phone search for devices....
