How do i flash my g1

Hi everyone i have a g1 that when i boot it up it doesn't get passed the "enoch" boot screen when i turn it on....
I tried a factory hard reset but it doesnt work (hold home and power button....)
can someone please tell me how to just erase everything off the phone and just have the factory os on it....
I dont know how to root or flash the phone because it already came with the rom loaded when i bought it
if someone could give me a link or tutorial on how to erase everything it would be much appreciated thanks
 
i put another g1 in restore mode and it looks completely different could it be because someone else installed a different android os on the phone?????
 
Is this how you did the factory reset?
1.Power off the G1
2.Hold Home Key + End key for 20 seconds or until you see a "triangle with an exclamation point and a picture of the G1"
3.Open the QWERTY keyboard and hit Alt+W
4.Restored
If not try it, I have to leave for a couple of hours, someone else should chime in before I get back.
 
yes i do it that way buy instead of the triangle i get a list with options likw reboot system now, go to console, usb-ms toggle....and at the bottom it says build: RA-dram-v1.5.2
 
Since you have tyhe Amon RA recovery you can flash a stable rom, this is better than stock. Take a look at this link and see if it's something you might want to do.
