i have an old verizon lg 3300 that i would like to flash to cricket. i have a cell phone shop and will be doing it on the regular, so i really need to figure it out. i have QPST software and usb cables. really just want to put the crkt pearl on it. (talk & txt) i have that software as well. the problem is when i put the usb cable in and go under device manager it does not show it.

Do i need a driver for the lg 3300? If so, where can I find it?
Regardless of the fact when i stick a usb into the port should it come up as a yellow question mark? Could the cable be defect.

thank you up front.

1. where can i get a cable with a serial chip in it?
2. how can i manually change the sid to 4485. btw, i'm located in cincinnati. so far i have been using *22890. does that make a difference?

thank you

Look at the posts with the good advice here, on vzw phones, the spc is almost always 6 zeros, dail *228_ _ depending on your area, welcome to cricket. manual program and your good to go. No need for cables or loading files.

i manually changed the sid to whats good in my area 4391. after that i have also attempted the *22890. when i dial otasp it just says default verizon message..etc... i know that the spc is 0's. i know someone locally flashing these models, so i know it can be done. if anyone has a clue where i can get usb cable with the serial chip in it that would be awesome.

i figured out final solution that worked for me. i got a cable from ebay and it didnt work after multiple attempts. i tried 2 different usb cables. by chance i had a customer walk in with a usb to serial cable. worked like a charm.
