~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~ I'm using the 8700g on T-Mobile and using the 3rd party apps that you mentioned except for verichat and they all work just fine on mine. I have the apn at wap.voicestream.com. On BB weather, make sure that you click a check in the box disable mds proxy or it won't work. When I had verichat, it worked just fine as well.
 
~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~yeah I have spoken to other people that also have it working with their tmo 8700g and I do have that box checked I am in the process of troubleshooting it with verichat since tmo doesn't offer 3rd party support, hopefully in fixing verichat it will fix the others since they have the same error.

P.S. My apn settings are correct

Thanks anyways maybe I need a blackberry guru or a BB black belt LOL

I can not connect to BB Weather, or Verichat, or similar programs that connect alike.

I am writing this thread to maybe get some extra responses, I know rabroad is to me the most knowledgable, and friendly BB community
that I have ever known of.

This is a summary of my dillema

BB weather:
Disable MDS: Checked
TCP/APN: wap.voicestream.com
Error Recieved: Could Not open tunned failed

OK I MUST DO THIS IN CAPS, AND I MUST STOP IN MID SENTENCE UPON WRITING THIS HALF THREAD. for no apparent reason I have changed no settings in the past 48 hours bb weather just gave me my forecast and I was so excited I tried verichat and what do you know it works... I am dumbfounded i about crapped my pants... I have no explanation... DO YOU?

very unusual this is... NO?
 
~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~actually I didn't fix, it just started working for no reason, make sure you have wap.voicestream.com in your APn settings, is this new service for you?
 
~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~mine took about 4 days to start working, just re register every once in a while and restart your BB when you register highlight the one in bold letters, let us know when it starts working
 
Hi i jsut downloaded BBWeather and it freezes as everyone know when you try to load it because you didnt put in the location ID. Well i have my id, its just i dont know where to go on my phone to disable MDS Proxy. As soon as i load BBWeather, the Pearl freezes. Please help

You must do it like this start BB weather, now don't hit anything but push the Trackball then select options. If you hit anything else it will freeze.

Now that your in options add a new location. Hit menu and select add for location ID just use the zipcode.

Also in options of BB weather is where you will disable MDS proxy.
