How do I fix my Toyota 4x4? Its driving me crazy.?

Ok I have a 91 Toyota Pickup 4x4. I went to crank it the other day and it wouldn't crank so I hooked my jumper cables up to it and still no luck so after a min or two of me trying to start it an alarm goes off. I unhook the battery cables and everytime I hook them back up the alarm goes off again. I need to get my truck goin again, I no its not the starter or anything like that, it has something to do with that alarm. Please help me. Thanks.
 
I hate alarms. there should be a valet button under the dash. turn the key on (with the battery & everything hooked up) and push and hold that button a few seconds, alarm should go off. If not, just try to start it anyways while holding the button down still. one of these combos should work. good luck
