You should replace your battery any time it is damaged by water, and the fact that it's bent will also hinder operation. If you can, take it to the provider who sold you the phone so you can easily get the right battery. If your provider is T-Mobile, they are great at customer support in case changing the battery doesn't help. Just call the customer service number they put in your phone book from a different phone. It could be that your phone is permanently damaged, but there is hope.
