How do I fit a smaller stereo into an 2003 Acura TLS?

I have the car without nav. The stock stereo unit is enormous, about the height of 3 "regular" car stereos. How would I replace the stock stereo with something more modern and not have a huge gap in my dashboard?
 
There are install kits from a few places that will fill in the the gap for you. Take a look at crutchfield.com, or stop by our local BestBuy or CarToys.

The big issue you will run into with replacing your stereo, however, is that it is most likely a Bose stereo system, which doesn't work like a normal 4ohm system, so you will need to rewire the entire system, pull out all the little amps, and replace all the speakers :-/
