How do I find out how old the building I live in is?

I have just moved in to a flat in Waltham Abbey, Essex and I would like to find out how long ago the estate was built. It looks pretty modern from the outside but after stripping wallpaper etc I have found some features from the 70's and am curious of how long ago the flats were built.
Oh just incase the estate is Romelands, Waltham Abbey EN9. Its right next door to Waltham Abbey church right in the town centre. Thank you
