how do i find a cheap 'amplifier' for my cb radio, or can a subwoofer amp boost power?

i know its iffy doin this, but im just curious bout finding a cheap way to 'enhance' the effectiveness of my cb, And also, will that just boost my outgoing signal, or will it also RECIEVE signal from further distances??
