How do I extend the length of video recording time on my Panasonic Lumix Camera?

I have a Panasonic Lumix ZS7 I want to record video but at the current setting I only have 22 seconds of recording time even with nothing in the built in memory. I expected to have to buy a memory card but I also thought I should have more time than 22 seconds. Is there a setting I'm missing? The instruction guide is very basic it only tells me how to record.
 
Many cameras have recording limits because of internal heat - this could be the problem here.
A fast card may do the trick but if not, a limit is the problem.
