How do I enter the unlock code on Tmobile Vairy Touch

I was earlier provided with the unlock code for the vairy touch mobile by a kind person. However, I'm wondering how I apply this code, the Imei is found by *#06#, is there such a number to add before applying the code aswell? Thanks in advance
 
1. Switch ON your phone without a SIM Card,
2. Compose the following - ###825*09#
3. The phone should ask for NCK or SPCK - Enter the required code and press ok
4. Your phone is now unlocked.
