In college, fraternities & sororities keep a file of major tests given by instructors/profs at the school. If the prof is one prone to using the same test/s repeatedly, studying from these *may* yield a high grade in a test or two...but then there's always the *day of reckoning* when one must stand on their own knowledge of the subject.

The egg drop exp is a "creative thinking problem" which loses its purpose if one gets the answer w/o their own :>) ideas being tested. Hints should be allowed IMHO.

Hints:
1) all items aren't utilized but depend on the approach used to reducing FORCE of collision
2) IMPULSE of collision is fixed by height of drop
2) IMPULSE = FORCE x TIME => to reduce FORCE must increase TIME of collision
3) can increase TIME of collision by placing crush-able material/s between egg and collision surface
4) can increase TIME of collision by allowing egg to MOVE a certain distance, during collision while being restricted by "spring" (rubber bands) from reaching hard surface/s of container.
