How do I delete photos on my ipad 2?

I got an ipad 2 a few day ago, and I synced a whole lot of photos to it,
there's lots that i don't want on there. Is there a way to delete photos on your ipad that aren't in the camera roll?
is there a way to get the photos you don't wan off your ipad through itunes?
