How do I delete photos from my photos folder?

I have all kinds of photos in my photos folder. All I want to do is weed out some of the non-value added photos.
 
Items in "My Photos" and "My Attachments" in Classic Mail are just views of the original email. Deleting the email will delete what is appearing in those folders. It shows what is in the "inbox" and "sent items" along with any other folders you created. You can delete from "message view" in the photo or attachment folders but it deletes the original email along with the attachments.
