I have an 06 yamaha vino classic 50cc 4 stroke scooter, This thing will only run about 33 mph, even down a steep hill. I have heard about three restrictors, one being the washer on the front drive pulley, mine does not have this. I have also heard about there being a restrictor in the exhaust, mine does not have this one either. The last one I have heard about is the CDI unit having a restrictor, mine has this, how do I bypass or disable the restrictor? I was told it was only a matter of cutting one of the wires off at the CDI plug, but I dont know how true this is. My other option is to spend a lot of money for an unrestricted CDI unit, I dont want to do this. Can someone tell me how to disable the restrictor on the CDI?
