Personally, I think reading is awesome and something everybody should do. However, if someone is not a big reader, trying to get them to read a certain book is a lost cause.

Recently I tried to get my sister to read Fahrenheit 451 but she just couldn't do it. She reads everyday for about 2 hours but she couldn't read this book because the only books she reads are of the fantasy genre. She was unable to become interested so she just gave up.

My point is.. there is no point in trying to convince your friends to read this book because they are, from the information available, uninterested. Even if they do read the book they probably won't receive the message to the extent you would or anyone else.

I have a group of friends, and we discuss sports news and topics every morning. Anyhow, aside from sports, we read a lot of the newspaper, and one of our favorite columnists is writing a book. One of them says that he doesn't read very often because he feels strained sometimes from the words and gets bored too easily from a book. I tell him that reading is a lot like sports -- practice makes perfect.

So, my question is, does practice make perfect? And how do I convince my friends to check out this upcoming book?
