I'm thirteen, and I have always wanted one. And it doesn't help to see 4th graders prancing around with Blackberrys. I could even deal with a basic flip phone. But my mom says no. Of course there are good reasons why. Money is kind of tight right now, and she has to support 4 kids. Well, my sister, who's 15, already has one, and I want to get one the time she did. My mom has a rule that you can only get a phone if you are 17, have a job, or you can drive a car! Oh wow, isn't that a long wait. You people out there with phones don't know how lucky you are. What can I do or say that will help me get a phone? (not right now, of course, just under the age of 17??) Help!

I'm 12 years old and i just got a cell phone, i really needed one because of my after school activities. so what i would tell my mom is that u need one in case of an emergency and kids way younger than u have cell phones. also, tell her that ur not asking for a super expensive high tech cell phone, just a decent one. oh, and tell her u will do more chores around the house too.
hope i helped!

Tell your mom that if you stay after school or if anything happens when your somewhere with your friends or hanging outside and far from home, you'll need a cell phone to call 4 emergencies, or instead walking all the way home, calling your mom to c if you can go somewhere or ask what r we doing today. I got my cellphone when I was 12/11 so I think you should rlly get one. I really needed mine since I did alot of after school programs and had to stay after. I go on bike rides with friends and walk around so I need it when I have to come home for her to call me and to see what time it is, AND, for emergencies! Sorry this was so long and hopefully u will take my tips and advice! :)
